People who keep to a sufficient diet of milk and dairy products as they get older, will stay fit and healthy longer. One litre of milk, or as little as a 100-g slice of cheese, is enough to cover our daily calcium requirements and thus to provide effective protection against osteoporosis brought on by old age. A regular diet of milk and dairy products provides us with essential vitamins and minerals. But it is their high level of calcium that make milk and dairy products so exceptionally valuable and a vital element in helping to prevent our bones becoming increasingly susceptible to fracture as we get older. Protein is another vital contained in these products. Food combinations such as cereal muesli and yoghurt or bread and cheese are extremely efficient dietary compositions. The older we get, the more we should take care to consume light and easily digestible foods. And lactoprotein is just that.
