Quality assurance
Dairy operators use quality-assurance systems to ensure the safety of end products. Operators may choose to have any systems which take quality assurance beyond the legal specifications certified by expert organisations. Such certification is based on internationally valid standards (DIN/EU/ISO/IFS) and accommodates elements of the HACCP concept (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points). Specific risk analyses for individual operators enable the targeted identification of potential weak points in the production process and help to prevent errors. For retailers and consumers, quality-assurance systems mean a high degree of production safety and mean good-quality products.
