For packaged foods, descriptions for trading are either the legally prescribed descriptions or - in the absence of such a prescription - the conventionally used description. In the absence of the former and the latter, the description must serve to identify the essential characteristic of that food. Incorrect descriptions constitute a case for the misleading of consumers.
